National Hospital Week recognizes the team serving patients across the hospital, clinics, wellness center and EMS

JACKSBORO, Texas (May 11, 2026) – Faith Community Health System (FCHS) will join hospitals and health systems across the country in celebrating National Hospital Week, May 10–16, 2026, a time set aside to recognize the people who make health care possible in communities large and small.

For Faith Community Health System, the week is an opportunity to thank the many people who serve patients across the organization, including Faith Community Hospital, the FCHS clinics in Alvord, Bowie, Graham and Jacksboro, Swan Family Wellness Center and the FCHS EMS team. Together, they represent a system of care built around service, compassion and access close to home.

This year’s national theme, “Healing Happens Here,” reflects the important role hospitals and health systems play in caring for patients, supporting families and strengthening communities. At FCHS, that message is carried out every day by the people who provide care, support patients and respond when local families need them most.

“National Hospital Week gives us the opportunity to pause and recognize the people who make Faith Community Health System what it is,” said Frank L. Beaman, CEO. “Across our hospital, clinics, wellness center and EMS team, we have people who come to work each day with a heart for serving others. Their dedication is what allows healing to happen here.”

Health care is often measured in services, facilities and technology, but the heart of local care is found in people. It is found in the moments when patients are comforted, families are supported, questions are answered and care is provided with skill and compassion.

FCHS serves patients across the region through hospital-based care, clinic services, wellness programs and emergency medical services. Each part of the organization plays an important role in helping individuals and families receive care, stay connected to resources and maintain their health close to home.

National Hospital Week also provides an opportunity to recognize the community’s support of local health care. Faith Community Health System is strengthened by patients, families, local leaders, businesses, volunteers and neighbors who understand the value of having care available close to home.

“Our team does not do this work alone,” Beaman said. “We are grateful for the trust and support of the communities we serve. That partnership matters, and it helps us continue our mission of caring for patients and families throughout the region.”

As Faith Community Health System celebrates National Hospital Week, the organization extends appreciation to every member of its team and to the communities that support local health care.

“Hospital Week is a celebration of people,” Beaman said. “It is about the people who provide care, the people who support that care and the people who trust us when they need us. We are proud to serve this region, and we are grateful for the opportunity to continue making a difference close to home.”
