Faith Community Hospital Selected as athenahealth’s First “Showcase” Hospital

Faith Community Hospital Selected as athenahealth’s First “Showcase” Hospital

Jacksboro, TX – August 4, 2016 – Faith Community Hospital, a community hospital serving the residents of Jack County, Texas, has been selected by athenahealth®, a leading provider of network-enabled services for healthcare providers nationwide, to be its first National Hospital Showcase Client.

As a National Hospital Showcase Client, Faith will serve as a model to hospitals across the U.S., demonstrating the efficiencies and workflow improvements made possible by athenahealth’s services. Faith was selected because of its dedication to patients and community health, as well as its focus on high performance and its early success with athenahealth’s revenue cycle management and medical billing for hospitals. The hospital has also recently adopted athenahealth’s electronic health records (EHR), a streamlined service that allows providers to delegate non-clinical tasks freeing them to spend more time with patients.

A video team from athenahealth recently spent several days in Jacksboro producing a “virtual tour” of Faith, in which the team interviewed hospital leadership and staff and filmed footage of day-to-day operations. The video will be used to showcase Faith’s accomplishments, as well as its partnership with athenahealth to streamline all aspects of the workflow.

“athenahealth is proud to recognize Faith Community Hospital as our first National Hospital Showcase Client,” said Angel Rosa, executive director at athenahealth. “Faith is a model example of how a small, rural hospital has adapted to healthcare’s continual shifts to the benefit of its community. The focus for Faith has become patient-centered care to support its community across the care continuum—and in this way they plan to make the transition not only from fee to value-based care, but from hospital to connected health system.

We are pleased to be Faith’s trusted partner in this endeavor and will work alongside them to help coordinate care, leverage best practices, benchmark performance and manage risk.”
